Job Description

The Joinery Manager will oversee all aspects of joinery production in the factory to support the company's construction division. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient operations, meeting production timelines, maintaining high-quality standards, and optimizing resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in joinery production, a strong understanding of construction requirements, and proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, schedule, and manage all joinery factory operations to meet project deadlines. Ensure the timely production and delivery of joinery items required for construction projects. Oversee the cutting, assembly, finishing, and quality control processes. Lead and manage a team of joinery workers, including carpenters, machinists, and supervisors. Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency and quality. Provide training and mentorship to enhance team skills and productivity. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of craftsmanship. Inspect materials, products, and processes to ensure compliance with project specifications. Address any defects or issues promptly to minimize delays. Collaborate closely with the construction division to understand project requirements and timelines. Provide technical guidance on joinery designs, materials, and installation processes. Ensure seamless integration of factory-produced joinery items into construction projects. Monitor and manage inventory of raw materials, tools, and equipment. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of materials. Optimize resource utilization to reduce waste and control costs. Enforce health and safety regulations within the factory. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety training sessions. Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained and used safely. Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency. Stay updated with advancements in joinery techniques, materials, and technology. Implement innovative solutions to enhance factory operations and output.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Wood Technology, or related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 10-15 years in joinery production, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Technical Expertise:

Comprehensive knowledge of joinery processes, machinery, materials, and finishes.

Leadership Skills:

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a factory setting.

Project Management:

Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for internal coordination and client interactions.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to address challenges efficiently and implement practical solutions.

Health & Safety:

In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and compliance requirements.

Working Conditions:

Based in the factory, with occasional site visits as required. May involve extended hours to meet production deadlines.
