Our Leading Interiors Contracting client has a new requirement for a well experienced Joinery Foreman or Engineer to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Joinery Foreman or Engineer for an Interior Fit Out contracting company on large scale fit out, joinery and refurbishment projects and contracts. Only candidates with a proven track record with recognised Interior Fit Out or Joinery Contractors will be considered.This role is available for immediate joining and is for a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed directly by our client.Key Responsibilities:The Carpenter Foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of carpenters on construction projects. This role includes ensuring that all carpentry work meets project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines. The Carpenter Foreman will work closely with project managers, other foremen, and construction teams to coordinate tasks and maintain productivity on-site.Supervise and coordinate the activities of carpenters and laborers. Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance. Assign tasks and monitor the progress of the team to ensure project milestones are met. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to guide carpentry work. Plan and organize the workflow, materials, and equipment needed for each project. Collaborate with project managers to develop work schedules and timelines. Quality Control: Inspect work performed by carpenters to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications. Identify and rectify any issues or discrepancies in carpentry work. Enforce safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all team members are aware of safety practices. Report any safety incidents or hazards to the appropriate personnel. Liaise with other trade foremen and subcontractors to coordinate work activities. Provide regular updates to project managers on the progress of carpentry tasks. Address any concerns or issues raised by team members or other stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed. Prepare and submit daily reports on project status and team performance. Assist in the procurement of materials and tools as needed.Requirements: Joinery Foreman Experience:High School Diploma plus vocational training in carpentry 5+ years of relevant experience in interior fit out, joinery or refurbishment projects. Proven experience as a carpenter foreman or similar supervisory role in construction. Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
