Job Description

The Joinery Foreman will oversee and coordinate all joinery works on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed to high-quality standards, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong technical knowledge of joinery operations, leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily joinery works, including installation, assembly, and finishing. Allocate tasks to team members based on skills and project requirements. Ensure all joinery works comply with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. Lead and motivate a team of joiners, ensuring high productivity and quality output. Provide training and guidance to team members as needed. Monitor attendance, performance, and compliance with safety protocols. Inspect materials and finished works to ensure adherence to project specifications. Identify and resolve any issues or defects in joinery work promptly. Maintain a high standard of craftsmanship across all tasks. Collaborate with site managers, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow. Report progress, challenges, and resource needs to the management team regularly. Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of joinery materials. Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations on-site. Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks to address potential hazards. Ensure the proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment. Monitor the use of materials to minimize wastage. Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are in good working condition. Request additional resources or materials as required to meet project needs.

Qualifications and Experience and Skills:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in joinery is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions quickly. Health & Safety: In-depth knowledge of workplace safety standards and practices.
