Job Summary: The Joinery Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within the joinery manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production processes run efficiently, meet quality standards, and adhere to safety regulations. The Joinery Factory Manager will lead a skilled team, manage resources, and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Production Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and manage the joinery production process, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Conduct training and performance evaluations.
• Quality Control: Develop and implement quality assurance protocols to maintain product standards, minimize defects, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Safety Management: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the factory. Conduct regular safety audits and training.
• Resource Management: Manage inventory, materials, and equipment to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
• Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the production budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements, including lean manufacturing techniques, to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Wood Science, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within the joinery or woodworking industry.
• Strong knowledge of joinery production techniques, materials, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in production management software and data analysis.
Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with CAD software and design tools.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
Working Conditions:
• May require working in shifts and being on call for emergencies.
• Physical demands may include standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.
