Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in joinery drafting, with a strong understanding of joinery design, technical drawings, and specifications. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed joinery drawings for both interior and exterior projects. Collaborate with the design and project teams to understand project requirements and specifications. Produce accurate technical drawings, plans, and layouts for various joinery components (e.g., cabinetry, doors, windows, furniture, and bespoke woodwork). Ensure all drawings adhere to relevant industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Modify and update drawings based on feedback from architects, engineers, and project managers. Assist in material take-offs and quantity estimation for joinery works. Coordinate with the production team to ensure the successful execution of design drawings. Review and ensure the feasibility of joinery designs, considering factors such as structural integrity, material limitations, and client requirements. Maintain proper filing and organization of all design documents and drawings. Attend meetings with clients, architects, and contractors to clarify design details and resolve issues as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman, preferably within the UAE market. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant design software. Strong understanding of joinery and carpentry techniques, materials, and construction methods. Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings accurately. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Good knowledge of local building codes and regulations in the UAE. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp) is a plus. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
