Job Description

Job Summary :
Produce detailed technical drawings and shop drawings for joinery and custom furniture projects, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with client and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

• Create precise 2D and 3D technical drawings for joinery and custom furniture using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Interpret architectural and interior design plans to develop shop drawings and production details.
• Prepare cutting lists, material specifications, and hardware requirements to assist the production team.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, and project managers to ensure drawings align with design concepts and project objectives.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from clients, supervisors, or production teams.
• Conduct site visits or communicate with site supervisors to verify measurements and on-site conditions.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and project timelines.
• Organize and maintain an up-to-date record of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to specify materials and finishes required for the project.
• Troubleshoot design issues by proposing practical solutions to meet project and production requirements.
• Stay informed on the latest trends, materials, and joinery techniques to improve work quality and efficiency.

Qualifications :

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a draftsman in the joinery or furniture manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other drafting tools.
• Knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, and finishes.
• Familiarity with woodworking machinery and production processes.
