Job Description

The Joinery Detailer will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and specifications for joinery and woodwork used in construction projects. This role involves transforming design concepts into clear, precise technical drawings, ensuring that all materials, dimensions, and finishes are correctly represented. The Joinery Detailer will work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure the joinery is built to specifications, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Detailing & Drafting:

Prepare detailed technical drawings of joinery items such as doors, windows, cabinets, and custom furniture. Create accurate shop drawings and specifications that meet project requirements, building codes, and industry standards. Develop drawings for both 2D and 3D visualizations, depending on the complexity of the project.

Material & Finish Specifications:

Specify the types of wood, finishes, hardware, and other materials needed for each piece of joinery. Ensure the correct selection of materials that meet functional and aesthetic requirements, including strength, durability, and appearance.

Collaboration & Communication:

Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to ensure joinery details meet design intent and client needs. Provide feedback on design feasibility, suggesting improvements or alternatives based on practical considerations and material constraints. Communicate any issues related to dimensions, materials, or manufacturing methods with the manufacturing team and suppliers.

Quality Control:

Ensure that joinery drawings and designs adhere to industry standards, building regulations, and company quality standards. Conduct checks and reviews to ensure that the technical drawings are accurate and error-free. Oversee the construction or manufacturing process, ensuring that the final product matches the provided details.

Project Support:

Support the project team by providing updated joinery details as the project progresses. Attend project meetings to discuss any joinery-related issues or changes to the original design. Coordinate the timely delivery of materials and components for the joinery phase of the project.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month

Experience:
