We are looking for a skilled and passionate Japanese Bakery Chef to join our team and help create authentic and high-quality Japanese baked goods. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a Japanese bakery, a strong understanding of Japanese baking techniques, and a passion for creating delicious pastries that capture the essence of Japanese culinary traditions.

As a Japanese Bakery Chef, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of traditional Japanese baked goods, while maintaining a high standard of quality, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a range of Japanese bakery products, including bread, pastries, and cakes. Follow authentic Japanese recipes and baking methods to ensure consistency and quality. Ensure that all baked goods are produced in a clean and sanitary environment. Maintain inventory of ingredients and ensure timely ordering to avoid shortages. Oversee the preparation, production, and presentation of baked items. Work with the kitchen team to ensure efficient operation and timely service. Ensure that baked goods are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and health standards. Collaborate with management to develop new product offerings or seasonal menu items. Train junior bakers or kitchen staff on Japanese bakery techniques, if needed.
Requirements:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Japanese bakery chef or in a similar role at a Japanese bakery. Strong knowledge of traditional Japanese baking techniques and recipes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Attention to detail, with a focus on presentation and quality. Good understanding of food safety standards and cleanliness. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Passion for Japanese cuisine and baking.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in creating custom or seasonal bakery products. Knowledge of Japanese ingredients and flavor profiles. Previous experience working in a similar position in the UAE or a multicultural environment.
