Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable

IT Teacher

to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective IT lessons to students, ensuring they develop a strong understanding of computer science, digital literacy, and emerging technologies. The IT teacher will also be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date curriculum and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:Teaching & Learning:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging IT lessons that cater to students of different learning abilities. Teach subjects such as programming, networking, cybersecurity, database management, and computer applications. Introduce students to emerging technologies like AI, cloud computing, and web development. Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Encourage practical learning through hands-on projects, coding exercises, and IT-related competitions.

Curriculum Development:

Develop and update the IT curriculum in line with national educational standards and industry trends. Integrate modern tools and software into lesson plans to enhance learning experiences. Ensure the curriculum includes critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical considerations in IT.

Classroom Management:

Maintain a structured and disciplined classroom environment. Encourage student participation and foster a positive learning atmosphere. Implement school policies related to student behavior and academic integrity.

Technical Support & Innovation:

Guide students in using educational technology tools effectively. Maintain and troubleshoot classroom IT equipment, ensuring smooth technology integration. Support students in extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics teams, and IT fairs.

Collaboration & Professional Development:

Work closely with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and educational practices. Attend training sessions, workshops, and educational seminars as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education & Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification (if required by the educational institution or region). Additional IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, Google, CompTIA) are a plus.

Skills & Experience:

Proven experience as an IT teacher or in a similar educational role. Strong knowledge of programming languages (Python, Java, HTML/CSS, etc.). Familiarity with operating systems, networking concepts, and database management. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Passion for technology and teaching with a student-centered approach.
