Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist to join our team at the AMER Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to ensure the smooth operation of all IT systems and services. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to user inquiries and assist in resolving technical problems in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
- Monitor and maintain the Centre\'s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications systems.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the Centre\'s IT systems by implementing and maintaining security measures.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the setup and support of audio-visual equipment for meetings and events.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, user requests, and support activities.
- Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to improve and streamline IT services.
- Provide training and support to users on new technologies and systems.
- Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.
- Stay current with the latest technology trends and best practices in IT support.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of cloud services and virtualization technologies.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and practices.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
