We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team at our hotel in Jumeirah. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to hotel staff and guests, resolving IT-related issues, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional IT support.Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support to hotel staff and guests, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices Set up and support audiovisual equipment for meetings, events, and conferences Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with security policies Monitor and maintain IT systems, including servers, networks, and telecommunications equipment Respond to help desk tickets and service requests in a timely and professional manner Document and track IT support activities, resolutions, and changes using a ticketing system Train hotel staff on the use of IT systems, applications, and equipment as needed Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in IT support to provide proactive recommendations and solutions Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to resolve complex technical issues and implement IT projectsQualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Office Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs Experience with audiovisual systems and equipment is a plus Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality IT support Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours and respond to emergencies as neededBenefits: Competitive salary Health insurance Employee discounts on hotel stays and dining Opportunities for career advancement within the hotel group Training and development programs
