The Arts Club Dubai is perfectly located in the heart of the DIFC, set over four floors and totaling 65,000 square feet, in the brand-new ICD Brookfield Place development designed by Foster + Partners.

POSITION PURPOSE
The IT Specialist will support the IT team in ensuring the smooth operation of all IT systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting issues, assisting in system maintenance, and providing technical support to employees to ensure optimal performance across the organisation.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DAILY DUTIES TECHNICAL SUPPORT:
• Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.


• Assist the team with technical queries and provide guidance on system usage.


• Maintain an IT helpdesk, logging and tracking tickets to resolution in a timely manner.


HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE:
• Support F&B operations by managing POS requirements, including configuration of menu items, packages, reports, and printer setups.Set up and configure computers, peripherals, and other IT equipment.


• Perform routine maintenance on hardware, including updates, repairs, and replacements.


• Install, update, and manage software applications, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.


NETWORK AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT:
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and minimal downtime.


• Assist in setting up user accounts, permissions, and access controls.


• Support data backup and recovery processes to safeguard organizational information.


AV SUPPORT:


• Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment, including microphones, speakers, projectors, cameras, video conferencing systems, and digital displays.


• Provide technical support for live events, meetings, and presentations, ensuring smooth operation of all AV components.


• Collaborate with event coordinators to understand AV requirements and provide customized solutions.


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV systems, including signal flow, equipment connectivity, and performance optimization.


DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING:
• Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses.


• Document procedures, technical solutions, and troubleshooting steps for reference.


• Report any major incidents or recurring issues to the Head of IT for resolution.


• Log and track IT issues in the support ticketing system.


SECURITY AND COMPLIANCE:
• Ensure adherence to IT security policies and procedures.


• Assist in identifying potential security risks and recommend mitigation measures.


• Support data protection and compliance with relevant regulations.


PROJECT SUPPORT:
• Assist in the implementation of IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new installations.


• Collaborate with vendors and service providers as required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES EDUCATION:


• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


EXPERIENCE:


• Previous experience in IT support with a focus on AV systems is preferred in similar domain.
• Experience with Oracle Simphony Point of Sale system, SevenRooms Reservation Systems with Interfaces.


TECHNICAL SKILLS:


• Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Familiarity with network troubleshooting and configuration.
• Expertise in AV equipment, including soundboards, projectors, microphones, and video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices.

• Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




• High level of attention to detail and organization.
