They will use best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve products or services in the IT Pillar (IT) discipline.Responsibilities:Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
The IT Pillar Specialist analyst will primarily provide user support to engineering, procurement, and site/construction
Communicate with internal users of the application to address and solve user\'s business and application needs
Write functional specifications, design, and test developed reports, and assist with user training
Serve as functional lead and or PM on IT Projects
Work closely with the various business units during the upgrade of Smart Plant Materials and then provide follow-up support
Assist process owner with analyzing, clarifying, and documenting work processes
Solve user problems and identify other areas of opportunity
Project setup as per the requirements of the company and client.
Good experience in project creation process aligned with other DABACON applications (AVEVA Diagram, AVEVA Engineering) - with company/project configurations.
Good experience & understanding of AVEVA Global setup (for internal multi-location/external client)
Manage AVEVA Global and Extract Databases. Coordinate with leads in setting up global projects.
Assist design team in preparing the 3D modeling procedure & Implementation procedure for the project.
Prepare all required documentation (Application & Project setup plan) as per McDermott requirements & project requirements.
Create new catalogues for the projects as per vendor data for piping, structural & E&I
Experience in configuring Structural joints & fittings in E3D & PDMS.
Liaise with 3D model coordinator for the smooth functioning of projects.
Support / Guide the design team for all modeling issues (all disciplines)
Setup clash management (SQL/Oracle) and run clash reports as per the project schedule.
Generate various reports from the 3D model as per project requirements.
Work with SRD team to load E3D specifications and coordinate to solve issues with SRD team.
Coordinate with design teams for MTOs (for input into SRD) and other reports (weight reports, COG etc.)
Should be able to develop & configure project specific customizations & configurations using PML.
Should have good experience of MDS Module and E3D Support module to build new custom company, client and project specific support configurations for piping & trays including support drawings configurations and supports report extraction.
Setup support configuration and customization using MDS in PDMS and Supports module in E3D to enable supports modelling and drawing extraction.
Coordinate with all disciplines to configure and create 2D drawing automation to ensure 2D drawings from 3D model are automated to the maximum.
Setup & configure drawing styles & rulesets for extraction of various types of 2D drawings for various disciplines in DRAW module of E3D and DRAFT in PDMS
Should have good understanding of E3D / PDMS Spooler Module for user support, trouble shooting and configuration and customization.
Expertise line-locking workflow using DAC Access Control to manage element lock & release in Administration module for E3D / PDMS Global Extract DB environment between locations.
Coordinate with Systems lead for maintaining global catalogues.
Setup progress measurement gates
Generate weekly progress reports for 3D administration.
Create local backups of running projects as necessary.
Ensure that project databases are cleaned up and merged periodically.
Create regular Review / NavisWorks file of the 3D model.
Good exposure to Schematic Model Manager configuration to compare/update 3D-P&ID
Qualifications:Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT supporting EPCI business applications as a lead or administrator
8+ years\' with at least 3 years in PDMS & MDS administration & 5+ year experience in E3D Administration.
Managed & administered large size projects (with 30+ users) executed using the E3D and Global E3D Projects. Exposure to AVEVA Global Administration for E3D Projects, configuration using PML essential.
In addition to the industry background, the analyst will need strong skills in the following areas: communication, developing and documenting requirements and specifications, development, and planning of processes to solve the user\'s business and application needs, and IT project management methodology
Good communication skills are a must
Working knowledge of the business units or processes supported by the application
In-depth understanding of how the application software has been set up and integrated to support business needs
Ability to conduct functional testing of the application
Complete understanding of data use, processes, and output
Good working knowledge of 2D CAD Applications & their configurations
Good exposure to detail engineering in any of the engineering disciplines (piping, structural, E&I)
Should be able to understand requirements from all discipline and be able to support the team.
