Job Description

The IT Assistant is responsible for supporting the IT team in managing hardware, software, and network systems. This role includes troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT equipment, and assisting with various IT projects to ensure seamless operation of the companys technology resources. Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Provide first-level support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. Respond to IT support requests in a timely and efficient manner. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or in-person. Hardware and Software Management: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software. Set up new workstations, including computers, printers, and other peripherals. Ensure all IT equipment is functioning correctly and securely. Network Administration: Support the IT team in maintaining the company's network infrastructure. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Assist with the installation and management of network devices such as routers and switches. User Account Management: Create and manage user accounts and access permissions in various systems. Assist in maintaining user directories and ensuring proper access control. IT Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and system changes. Document technical procedures, solutions, and best practices for future reference. Update and maintain IT inventory records. Security and Compliance: Assist in implementing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures. Monitor and ensure compliance with company and regulatory IT standards. Support data backup and recovery operations. Training and Support: Provide basic training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and applications. Create and update user manuals and training materials. Collaboration and Projects: Assist in IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations. Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as an IT Assistant or in a similar technical support role. Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems, MS Office Suite, and common software applications. Basic knowledge of networking principles and hardware. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage. Additional Requirements: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus. Flexibility to work outside regular hours if necessary.
