Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT and Networking Engineer to join our team. This role involves configuring, installing, and maintaining network devices and services, ensuring system reliability, and providing high-level support to resolve network-related issues. As an integral member of the IT team, you will collaborate with security teams, vendors, and internal staff to ensure smooth and secure network operations. Key Responsibilities: Network Configuration & Installation: Configure and install various network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and implement Quality of Service (QoS) protocols. System Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform regular network and system maintenance, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations to ensure optimal system performance. Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance, resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to maintain high availability and reliability. Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level-2/3 support to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime. Configuration & Change Management: Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure proper approval and tracking of any modifications made to the network infrastructure. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the companys security team to implement and enforce security tools, policies, and procedures to safeguard network integrity. Vendor Liaison: Work closely with external vendors and internal IT staff to address technical issues and optimize network solutions. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in networking, IT infrastructure, and system maintenance. Technical Skills: Expertise in configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs). Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Familiarity with system upgrades, patches, service packs, and security protocols. Hands-on experience with QoS, capacity planning, and system resource monitoring. Knowledge of security practices and ability to work with a security team to implement measures. Certifications: Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus. Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex network issues. Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
