Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Islamic Studies Teacher to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum and Instruction:
Design and deliver a comprehensive Islamic Studies curriculum that aligns with ICS's educational goals and Islamic teachings.
Teach various Islamic subjects, including Quran, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, history, and ethics, utilizing innovative teaching methods.
Integrate Islamic principles with broader educational objectives to enhance students' understanding and application of Islamic values.
Assess and track student progress through various evaluation methods, providing regular feedback to support their academic and personal development.
Foster a deep understanding of Islamic teachings and promote the development of students' moral and ethical character.
Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Manage classroom dynamics and address behavioral issues in accordance with ICS policies.
Communicate effectively with parents about student progress, achievements, and areas needing improvement.
Engage in school-wide events and activities that promote Islamic values and strengthen community ties.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Islamic education and pedagogical advancements.
Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and strategies, contributing to the overall success of the school.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Complete required administrative tasks, including preparing lesson plans, grading assignments, and attending staff meetings.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Islamic Studies, Islamic Education, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in Islamic Studies, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
Requirements
Teaching Experience:
Minimum Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies, preferably in an international or multicultural setting.
Relevant Experience: Experience with diverse curriculums (e.g., British, American, IB, AP, MOE) is an advantage.
Language Proficiency:
Arabic: Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
English: Strong command of English (written and spoken) is essential.
Skills and Competencies:
Knowledge: Deep understanding of Islamic theology, jurisprudence, Hadith, Quranic studies, and Islamic history.
Teaching Techniques: Ability to use diverse teaching methods and resources to cater to various learning styles and needs.
Technology: Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Classroom Management: Strong skills in maintaining a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
