Responsible for handling investment activities and executing their process from sourcing potential investment opportunities, evaluating their financial state, facilitating meetings, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, to monitoring and reporting on the performance of the investment post acquisition.
Roles & Responsibilities ? Conduct industry and market research of potential investment opportunities based on the niches recommended by the Direct Manager. ? Analyze investment opportunities, create presentations, and write investment committee memorandums in alignment with the department's mandates. ? Liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring proper information is considered in the start phase of the investment by conducting interviews and arranging for meetings. ? Complete data gathering tasks over the potential investments including reviewing teasers, CIMs (confidential information memorandums), and perform industry research on potential investments and their competitors. ? Build extensive financial models and valuations, conduct sensitivity analysis, analyze the strategy of potential investment opportunities, to determine merits, key metrics, risks, and predicted returns on investment. ? Assist in the compilation of due diligence materials, budgets, and financial models under the guidance of senior team members.. ? Construct comparable company financial analysis, M&A, and debt analyses to evaluate pricing and potential deal structures. ? Assess the impact of any projections, forecasts, and recommend mitigation plans if they did not conform to the analysis. ? Communicate and up with portfolio investments through regular company site visits, management meetings and calls. ? Prepare the necessary requirements and financial analyses of investment entities prior to holding their annual general assemblies and ensure attendance at those meetings on behalf of clients (when required). ? Monitor financial and operational performance of Private Equity investments to ensure mitigation of related risks and represent the company in General Assemblies of investee companies when required. ? Coordinate with the Risk Management Function pertaining to Investments-related transactions and services. ? Verify regulatory compliance of transaction reporting pertaining to Investment activities. ? Monitor the performance of investments within the portfolio against the plan, identify gaps and opportunities, and make recommendations as to how to close any gaps to the Direct Manager. ? Prepare investment presentations to senior team members and internal committees based on research findings, recorded day-to-day market shifts, technical and fundamental analysis of current financial statements, and investment performance to provide input in the decision-making process in a thorough manner. ? Liaise with Clients' Services Function to ensure that all clients' reports & communications are generated and sent to the clients on a timely basis. ? Liaise with the Operations team to ensure dividends are correctly proceeded. ? Inform and advise management regarding fluctuations and irregularities to ensure prompt actions are taken and preserve investors and the Company's interests. ? Maintain healthy relationships with clients and handle their issues related to investment products providing a timely resolution for the same. ? Stay up to date with financial and market news pertaining to new investments and reflect on any ongoing investment project. ? Perform ad-hoc and other duties related to the job as assigned by the Direct Manager. Qualifications and Certifications ? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate or any related field. ? Relevant certifications in real estate finance or investment (e.g., CFA, CAIA) or knowledge of real estate analysis tools such as Argus will be preferred. Work Experience ? Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience in the same or any related field. ? Good knowledge in investment management companies. Competencies ? Communication Skills ? Analytical Ability ?
