Job Description

The Internal Verifier (IV) or Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) is responsible for ensuring the integrity and quality of assessments and ensuring that they comply with established standards. This role involves reviewing and verifying assessments, providing constructive feedback, and supporting continuous improvements in assessment practices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Verify the validity and accuracy of assessments in accordance with the program's standards.
• Provide constructive feedback to assessors and learners to improve assessment practices and outcomes.
• Review learner evidence and assessment decisions to ensure that they meet the qualification requirements.
• Ensure that assessment processes are fair, transparent, and consistent with the standards set by the relevant awarding bodies.
• Provide guidance and support to assessors, ensuring they are following the correct assessment protocols.
• Work closely with external verifiers to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
• Document all internal verification processes, outcomes, and actions.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement measures for assessment practices within the organization.
• Prepare reports and evidence for audits and regulatory inspections.

Qualifications :

• Hold a recognized qualification in Internal Verification (IV), such as the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance or equivalent.
• Experience in assessment and internal verification within vocational or education settings.
• Knowledge of quality assurance frameworks, assessment methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback and support improvements in assessment and learner outcomes.
