To prepare an Internal Audit Charter that clearly states the purpose, scope, responsibility of internal audit department. Such audit charter should be reviewed annually
The Internal Auditor must obtain the information, and update on a timely basis, of any changes in the applicable Regulations, the Standards and the organization\'s policies or procedures
The Internal Auditor must prepare the Annual Internal Audit Plan after discussing with the Audit Committee and obtain the approval of the Board of Directors (or of the Owner/Partners where there is no Board of Directors) at the beginning of each financial year
Pan all business activities of the Licensed Person, core functions, non-core functions, branches, Head Office, Management Office (if applicable), reconciliation process, unreconciled items, unclaimed funds, liquidity, capital adequacy, etc.
To perform Internal audits in accordance with the Annual Internal Audit Plan and as per the directives of the Board of Directors (or the Owner/Partners where there is no Board of Directors)
To ensure that internal audit findings are addressed in a timely manner
To maintain and retain copies of all internal audit reports and corrective actions taken by the Company and it must be made available for any internal/external audit/examinations
To ensure the branches and head office operations are in compliance to the new regulation issued by the CB of UAE, in case of any deviation, it should be immediately notified to the concerned department for corrective action and further escalation to the BOD on time
To be part of and review all the fraud investigation
To conduct Fraud Risk Assessments jointly with the Fraud Prevention Officer and submit the report to the Board of Directors (or to the Owner/Partners where there is no Board of Directors)
To review the adequacy of policies and procedures for fraud prevention
To confirm the availability of insurance cover to protect the interest of the Licensed Person
To confirm the recruitment process is in line with regulations
To confirm that appropriate anti-fraud trainings are given to employees
To confirm that fraud incidents are appropriately reported in accordance with regulations
To conduct checking for on the effectiveness of counterfeit detection at tills
To formulate procedures and trainings
Branch limits for Instant Money Transfers
To verify and confirm that the set daily limits are appropriate to the size of the business of each branch.
To perform the audit of the Compliance officer\'s function
To report the findings to the Board of Directors (or to the Owner/Partners where there is no Board of Directors)

To conduct review of resolution of customer complaints; and
To assess that time taken for resolving each complaint from the customer is reasonable and investigate the reasons, if there are overdue complaints
