Internal Auditor - HVAC Trading and Distribution

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Internal Auditor to join our team at a leading HVAC distribution company in Dubai. The Internal Auditor will assess and evaluate the company's internal controls, financial processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will focus on ensuring that all operations are running efficiently, ethically, and in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform audits of financial records, business operations, and internal controls to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and execute audit plans based on risk assessments and business priorities.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement to minimize financial and operational risks.
• Review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or areas of concern and provide actionable recommendations for corrective actions.
• Conduct operational audits in areas such as inventory management, purchasing, sales, and distribution processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Work closely with management and various departments to address audit findings and assist in the implementation of improvements.
• Prepare audit reports detailing findings, issues, and recommended solutions for senior management.
• Stay current with industry regulations, trends, and best practices, and ensure that the company is in compliance with local and international standards.
• Assist in the preparation for external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, CISA) is highly preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in the distribution or manufacturing sector, with a focus on HVAC products.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, VAT).
• Proficient in using audit software and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of the HVAC industry is a plus.
