Job Title: Internal Auditor

Location: RAK, UAE

Industry: Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) with a focus on Marine and Offshore Engineering

Reports to: CFO

Job Overview:

Our client, a well-established engineering company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant or a semi-qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in the manufacturing, marine engineering, or construction industry. The Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across our manufacturing facilities in UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans, including risk assessments, audit programs, and timelines.
• Process Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes, internal controls, and risk management practices.
• Financial Audits: Conduct thorough audits of financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to company policies.
• Compliance Audits: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.
• Follow-Up: Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Advisory Role: Provide advisory services to management on risk management, internal controls, and governance practices.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Training & Development: Assist in the training and development of staff on internal controls and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or semi-qualified Chartered Accountant.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in the manufacturing, marine engineering, or construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using audit management software and other relevant tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ERP systems and other financial management software.
• Certification in internal auditing (e.g., CIA, CISA) is a plus.
• Familiarity with the marine and offshore engineering industry standards and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
