Internal Auditor ( Crypto Industry Experience Required)

Job Description

:Hiring for a large crypto-currency company in Abu Dhabi.
  • Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan for the company's cryptocurrency operations and related security protocols.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes within the crypto-related frameworks.
  • Audit the processes surrounding the acquisition, custody, and disposal of cryptocurrencies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cryptocurrency regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the compliance department to review regulatory compliance, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures related to crypto transactions.
  • Prepare detailed audit findings and present reports to senior management on audit results and recommendations for improving policies and procedures.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to monitor the implementation of recommendations and the adequacy of corrective actions.
  • Investigate any incidents of suspected fraudulent activity or other irregularities.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulators as required.
  • Educate and train staff on the importance of compliance and sound internal control processes in a crypto environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are a plus.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience, with atleast 4+ years of experience in the related field.
  • Proven experience as an Internal Auditor, preferably within the cryptocurrency industry or financial services with exposure to blockchain technology.
  • Understanding of blockchain ledger systems and how they impact audit processes and control environments.
  • Familiarity with financial software and databases, including those specific to cryptocurrency.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Independent judgment with the ability to think analytically and critically.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear manner.
  • Ability to handle confidential data with discretion.
