Job Description

The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the company's risk management, internal controls, governance processes, and operational efficiency. This role involves planning and conducting audits, analyzing financial and operational data, and providing recommendations to ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement audit plans, schedules, and programs for various departments and projects.
• Conduct risk-based audits to assess financial records, operational processes, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Risk Assessment and Management:

• Identify areas of potential risk, inefficiencies, or non-compliance within the organization.
• Provide recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance internal controls.

Compliance and Regulations:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, construction industry standards, and local government regulations.
• Monitor adherence to contractual obligations and financial reporting standards.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting findings, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
• Present audit results to senior management and the board, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.

Process Improvement:

• Analyze current processes and suggest practical improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with departments to implement best practices in construction project management and financial operations.

Fraud Detection and Prevention:

• Identify irregularities, discrepancies, or fraudulent activities in financial and operational records.
• Recommend preventive measures and monitor implementation.

Training and Advisory:

• Provide guidance to departments on internal control processes and risk management.
• Conduct training sessions to promote awareness of compliance requirements and internal controls.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CA, or ACCA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in auditing, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, project costing, procurement processes, and financial management in the construction sector.
• Proficiency in auditing tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Familiarity with local and international financial and compliance standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
