Internal Auditor AMA Audit & Tax Advisory Abu Dhabi Job Summary: The internal auditor will perform independent and objective evaluations of the organization's financial and operational business activities, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. The role involves assessing risk management strategies and improving the effectiveness of governance, control, and risk management processes. Candidates must hold a CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement annual audit plans.
- Identify key areas of risk within the organization and propose areas for audit focus.
- Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls.
- Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Perform risk assessments on key business activities and use this information to guide the creation of audit plans.
- Prepare detailed reports of audit findings and recommend improvements to the organization's processes.
- Communicate audit findings to senior management and provide insights for improvements.
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure they are implemented and working as intended.
- Ensure the organization is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Monitor changes in regulations and assess the impact on the organization.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and suggest enhancements.
- Test controls to ensure their effectiveness in mitigating risk.
- Provide independent advice on improvements to financial, operational, and compliance processes.
- Work with management to identify and mitigate risks.
- CA (Chartered Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
