Job Description

The Internal Auditor is responsible for planning, executing, and concluding internal audits to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, improve the effectiveness of risk management, control framework, governance processes and enhance operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Audit Planning and Execution: o Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan. o Schedule and conduct audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations. o Lead audit engagements, including defining audit objectives, scope, and methodology. o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the audit team.

2. Reporting and Communication: o Prepare comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations. o Communicate and finalize the audit observations with the stakeholders. o Follow up on audit findings to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

3. Risk Management and Compliance: o Identify and assess areas of significant risks. o Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. o Advise stakeholders on risk management and internal control matters.

4. Process Improvement: o Recommend improvements to business processes and controls. o Collaborate with management to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. o Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes impacting the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Chartered Accountant from ICAI.

Certifications: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or equivalent certification is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience in core internal auditing.
• Experience with Big 4 or Multi-National Companies are an added advantage.
• Experience in Real Estate Industry is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
