Are you interested in building your career in civil engineering with a focus on stakeholder management or transport planning? As an Intern - Civil Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience working with professionals in one of these dynamic fields, contributing to real projects that impact communities and infrastructure.
Depending on the team you join, you'll either support the Stakeholder Management team in fostering relationships and facilitating communication with project partners and local communities, or you'll work with the Transport Planning team on designing efficient, sustainable transportation solutions. Both paths offer valuable insights into key areas of civil engineering, helping you develop the skills needed to thrive in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
•With the Stakeholder Management Team:•
• Assist with Stakeholder Engagement: Support the team in coordinating meetings and managing communications with project stakeholders, community groups, and regulatory bodies.
• Document Preparation: Help prepare materials for presentations, reports, and project updates to ensure clear, accurate communication.
• Monitor Project Feedback: Track and analyze feedback from stakeholders to support ongoing project improvements and resolve issues promptly.
•With the Transport Planning Team:•
• Support in Design and Analysis: Assist in gathering and analyzing data related to transportation patterns, demand, and infrastructure usage.
• Assist with Project Plans: Help develop and review transport models and design solutions that align with sustainability goals.
• Engage in Project Coordination: Work closely with team members to understand project requirements and support the delivery of timely, efficient plans.

Qualifications
• Education: Pursuing a Civil Engineering Degree
• Graduation Date: Ideally a potential 2025 or 2026 graduate (or a 2024/2023 graduate looking for short-term work placement for experience).
• GPA: Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) to be considered.
• Start Date: Dec 2024 / Jan 2025
• Duration : 1-3 months, depending on individual preferences and project requirements.
• Eligibility: As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labor law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
