We are looking for a talented and creative

Interior Designer

with experience in

fitouts

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, excellent project management skills, and experience in planning and executing interior fitout projects. You will be responsible for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing designs that meet both client needs and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Conceptualization

: Create innovative and functional interior designs for fitout projects, including commercial, retail, residential, and office spaces. Develop design concepts, mood boards, and design presentations tailored to client needs and specifications. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and project requirements.

Space Planning & Layout Design

: Plan and design the layout of interior spaces to maximize functionality and ensure optimal use of available space. Prepare detailed floor plans, elevations, and layout designs, considering factors such as ergonomics, lighting, acoustics, and furniture arrangements.

Material & Finish Selection

: Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings for each project, balancing aesthetic appeal, durability, and cost-effectiveness. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to source and specify materials, ensuring that they meet project requirements and budget constraints.

3D Visualization & Renderings

: Create 3D visualizations and rendering of design concepts to present to clients and stakeholders for approval. Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or 3ds Max) to generate accurate, realistic models and visual representations of designs.

Project Coordination & Management

: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other team members to ensure designs are implemented effectively and according to plan. Ensure that all design aspects comply with relevant regulations and standards, including building codes and safety guidelines. Monitor project progress, ensuring designs are executed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Client Liaison

: Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the design and execution process, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Provide expert advice and guidance on design-related matters, including feasibility, sustainability, and cost-effective solutions. Address and resolve client concerns or issues regarding design elements, providing adjustments as necessary.

Budget Management

: Prepare and manage design budgets, ensuring that the project remains within financial constraints while maintaining design integrity. Offer cost-effective solutions without compromising on the quality or aesthetics of the design.

Quality Assurance & Site Supervision

: Oversee the implementation of design concepts on-site, ensuring that contractors and vendors adhere to design specifications. Conduct site visits to assess the quality of work, materials, and finishes used during the fitout process. Ensure the timely delivery of design components, and address any issues or challenges that arise during installation.

Sustainability & Innovation

: Advocate for sustainable design solutions that reduce environmental impact while maintaining aesthetic appeal and functionality. Stay updated on the latest design trends, materials, and technologies, integrating innovative ideas into projects.

Key Requirements:

Education

: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience

: 3-5 years of experience in interior design, with a focus on fitouts for commercial, retail, or residential spaces.

Skills

: Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Suite. Excellent understanding of materials, finishes, and construction processes. Strong knowledge of design principles, spatial planning, and ergonomics. Ability to create and present 3D renderings, mood boards, and design presentations to clients. Excellent project management skills, including time management, budgeting, and resource allocation. Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork.
