Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Project Engineer to join our team. The MEP Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) aspects of construction and renovation projects, ensuring that MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage MEP systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop MEP designs and systems that meet client requirements, safety standards, and budget constraints.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure design accuracy and compliance with local regulations.
• Manage the installation of MEP systems, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Provide technical support during all phases of the project, from design to construction, and ensure that MEP installations are carried out according to the approved designs.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and contractors involved in MEP works.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor the progress of MEP work, identify any issues, and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Prepare and review MEP-related documentation, including submittals, change orders, and progress reports.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards during the design, installation, and operation of MEP systems.
• Assist with cost estimation, budgeting, and procurement of MEP materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of MEP materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to MEP systems during the construction and commissioning phases.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules for MEP activities and ensure milestones are met.
• Conduct system testing and commissioning, and ensure the smooth handover of MEP systems to the client upon project completion.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in MEP technologies, materials, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an MEP Engineer or similar role with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to MEP systems.
• Proficiency in MEP design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex technical issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
