Overview:
The Interface Lead is responsible for managing and coordinating all interfaces between various project teams, departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of project phases. This role involves facilitating communication, resolving interface issues, and ensuring alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, and operational functions. The Interface Lead will work to minimize conflicts and delays by managing technical and organizational interfaces across the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement an interface management plan, ensuring effective communication and coordination between all relevant project stakeholders.
Identify, monitor, and manage all technical and operational interfaces within the project to ensure smooth integration and execution of tasks.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to resolve interface issues in a timely manner.
Track and document interface agreements and changes throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring all parties are aligned on requirements and schedules.
Facilitate regular interface meetings and workshops to address any ongoing or potential interface conflicts.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure that interface risks are identified, mitigated, and documented.
Provide regular updates to the project management team on the status of interface management activities.
Support the preparation of technical documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure clarity in interface responsibilities.
Oversee the implementation of changes related to interface management and ensure that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and project-specific requirements regarding interface management. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:
Proficiency in project management and collaboration software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SharePoint).
Relevant certifications in Project Management or Interface Management are an advantage. Years of Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas, construction, or engineering industry, with at least 5 years in an interface management or coordination role. Technical Knowledge:
Interface Management: Strong understanding of interface management principles, methodologies, and tools, with experience in coordinating technical and operational interfaces across large, complex projects.
Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve interface conflicts effectively.
