Job Title: Instrumentation Design Engineer

Location: UAE

Experience Required: Minimum 8+ years in Instrumentation Design for Oil and Gas Projects

Responsibilities:

- Design and Development: Create detailed instrumentation design and layout for oil and gas projects, including control systems, measurement devices, and automation systems.

- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure designs meet project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.

- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and equipment lists.

- Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

- Software Proficiency: Utilize relevant software tools for design and documentation, such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), and other specialized instrumentation design software.

- Vendor Coordination: Interface with equipment vendors and suppliers to specify and procure instrumentation equipment and materials.

- Quality Assurance: Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of design documents, ensuring high-quality outputs.

- Support: Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects, addressing any design-related issues that arise.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience as an instrumentation design engineer, specifically in oil and gas projects.

- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of instrumentation and control systems design principles, standards, and regulations in the oil and gas industry.

- Software Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), and other relevant design software.

- UAE/GCC Experience: Prior experience working on oil and gas projects in the UAE or GCC region is highly preferred.

- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in design work.

- Communication Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members.

- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve design and technical issues efficiently.

- Education: A degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
