Description
Responsible for the management and building of educational courses and media using various educational technology applications and instructional design methodologies. The person will interact with the business users and other stakeholders (in both Arabic and English languages) to understand the requirements and support them to achieve the outcomes. To perform this successfully an individual must be creative and imaginative, have an eye for detail, have hands on experience with various educational technology applications, e-Learning authoring tools, multimedia software, and be aware of e-Learning design and development standards and technical processes involved in e-Learning course development.
Main roles & responsibilities
• Design and develop engaging and effective learning experiences based on solid learning pedagogies and instructional strategies.
• Create high-quality educational content that is engaging, relevant, and aligned with the learning objectives.
• Work on Instructional design strategies for courses as needed with the SMEs and trainers and suggest new and innovative educational technology tools to faculty for educational media production.
• Familiarize with the Moodle platform to develop, manage, and administer courses effectively.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, faculty, and other stakeholders to gather input and refine course materials.
• Conduct regular assessments of courses to ensure quality and effectiveness and suggest improvements to related processes as needed.
• Perform on-spot updates of Courses/Diplomas pages on Cloud Campus based on an Agile timetable that will be shared by Content owners and/or Academic Departments; to ensure correctness of content and availability of enrolment pages accordingly.
• Compile data and analyse reports related to enrolment trends, course completion rates, website traffic, and similar information.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the Cloud Campus portal, ensure correct course information pages on LMS, and suggest enhancements towards continuous improvements.
• Support HBMSU revenue generation activities through creating and enabling an environment that facilitates and enhances all its processes as applicable.
• Adhere to internal and local information security and relevant health and safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Required qualification & skills
Professional Experience •
Minimum of 5 years of related experience that is directly related to the job duties.
Education and Academic Qualifications •
• Bachelor's degree in software development, e-Learning Development, Multimedia, or similar discipline from an accredited University.
• Any Multimedia, Graphic Design and e-Learning related certification is an advantage
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities •
• Good understanding of technology and the technical processes involved.
• Understand what appeals to different target audiences.
• Hands on experience in courseware development and good understanding of optimization process of graphics, animations, and audio video synchronization
• Hands on experience in content authoring tools, developing interactivities and publishing standards.
• Hands on experience with multimedia software's (Adobe Photoshop, Articulate Storyline, Illustrator, Audio Video Editing, HTML, XML, and other content authoring tools)
• In depth knowledge of e-Learning standards like LMS, Moodle, SCORM, AICC
• Organized and self-motivated
• Flexible and willing to adapt design ideas.
