Key Candidates
• Ensure that the work carried out complies with international industry standards, project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedures and manuals as appropriate.
• Preparation of ITPs in line with regulatory requirements and specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections in shop and on-board.
• Participation in work identification as required.
• Carry out material inspection of electrical equipment, instrument & other miscellaneous items.
• Inspection of the installation of cable tray fabrication, installation including covering and protection.
• Inspections of all type of Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom Cables according to manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
• Inspection of the installation of all type of Electrical, instrumentation and Telecom equipment and control panels.
• Witness and inspect testing of HV cables, Fiber optic cables, CAT cables, Co - axial cables.
• Witness and inspect Megger and Continuity testing of electrical systems, including cables and equipment.
• Witness and inspect torque tightening of bolting on bus bars, electrical terminal of switchboards and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, tender, work instructions, procedure and manuals as appropriate.
• Carry out inspections for instrument tubing installation and testing.
• Carry out the Area completion inspections.
• Witness and testing inspections of earth continuity test/Low resistance test.
• Carry out inspections and do measurements using Insulation tester, Clamp meter, Multimeter, Low resistance tester (Ductor), OTDR tester and torque wrench etc.
• Perform inspections to ensure that all installations are carried out up to the set standards
• Coordinate with and assist mechanical completion engineers for the inspections, completion and documentation.
• Detailed inspections of hazardous areas equipment.
• Reporting on non-conformance issues with installations and equipment and advising construction team on correct installation practices.
• Carry out inspections generate punch lists if any according to project ITP and completion philosophy. Take ownership in closing and updating punch lists in coordination with punch lists owner and originator.
• Coordinate and liaise with classification society, third party inspection agencies, Ship superintendents and other trades, to ensure adherence to related standards.
• Stop processes if they do not meet specified requirements, raise occurrence report, develop corrective and preventive action and ensure that rework is carried out to customer satisfaction.
Collecting, updating and filing all relevant inspection records, ITRs/MCCRs and prepare final dossiers according to project requirement

Qualification / Experiences & Skills
Education and knowledge in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering is essential.
Degree / Diploma in relevant field
Knowledge in Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom inspection testing techniques, international standards and regulatory requirements.
Able to read and understand design drawings such as P&ID, Single line, termination, general arrangement isometric etc.
Good knowledge and experience in handling site QC & Completion Inspections, line walks and other process inspections.
Good knowledge and experience in different process involved in construction activities and related quality requirements.
Knowledge in Mechanical Completion process and related documentations.
Knowledge and experience in Shipyard or a similar facility with MC activities works for conversion and new buildings.
