Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Inspector - Bridges to join our team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
This position is responsible for ensuring that the construction activities meet the required specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The Inspector will work closely with the Resident Engineer, contractors, and project teams to monitor construction activities, perform inspections, and report on the progress of the project.
We envisage success in this role to include;
• Conduct regular inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Ensure all construction work is performed according to the specified quality standards, identify any deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of site inspections, non-conformance reports, daily progress reports, and any safety or quality issues. Provide timely reports to the Resident Engineer and Project Manager.
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure the implementation of approved plans and construction methods. Address any issues related to construction procedures or materials.
• Monitor on-site safety protocols, ensuring that construction activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
• Verify that materials used in the construction process meet the required standards and specifications, performing inspections on materials before and after delivery.
• construction progress to ensure the project stays on schedule, report any delays, and recommend solutions to prevent schedule setbacks.
• Provide technical support to the project team by identifying problems and recommending solutions related to the construction process.
• Ensure that all work is compliant with local regulations, codes of practice, and project-specific specifications.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years of work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. Experience in bridge construction projects is essential for this role.
Candidate must be physically available in UAE.
