- Lead cross-functional working groups to **coordinate data protection efforts** and regulatory awareness across the bank
- Conduct **data protection and privacy monitoring**, compliance testing, and risk assessments
- Evaluate the bank's **data protection framework**, identify areas of non-compliance, and implement corrective measures
- Maintain an **inventory of personal data and data processing activities**, ensuring transparency in data collection and usage
- Collaborate with **contracts, vendor management, and compliance teams** to ensure third-party contracts meet privacy requirements
- Support and promote a **culture of data security awareness** across all business units
- Conduct **training sessions for staff members** involved in data handling and processing
- Work with and **manage external vendors and auditors** during assessments and regulatory reviewsRequired Skills and Experience
- Engineering degree with **5+ years of experience** in local and international **data protection within the banking and financial sector**
- Hands-on experience in implementing **data protection regulations and frameworks**
- Expertise in **data protection laws and compliance requirements**, including **CBUAE Consumer Data Protection, UAE Privacy Laws, and global privacy standards**
- Preferred certifications: **CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDPO** or equivalent
