Design Phase:
Responsible to design production layouts and processes with the purpose of increasing productivity, eliminating wastefulness, reducing costs, and ensuring quality standards are maintained.
Responsible to design detail layout of facilities, using suitable CAD software, determining capital and auxiliary equipment as well as system and personnel requirements both white and blue collar.
Responsible to define cost control, labour, equipment and materials, system to capture production costs.
Collaborate with production to define training of staff for new processes
Assist Manufacturing Engineers for preparing material and equipment lists, purchase orders, cost analyses, and estimated production costs.
Manage process documentation and prepare production reports and KPIs such as labour productivity and OEE of equipment.
Assist the development and implementation of quality control procedures and systems to ensure products meet customer specifications (SQCDP, APQP)
Prototype Phase:
Responsible to conduct time and motion studies to map current state and identify areas for improvement in production processes
Verify production flow and perform necessary adjustments.
Test cost capturing systems
Verify BOMs
Deploy KPIs and quality control procedures and systems
Serial Production & Improvement Phase:
Analyse production data to identify trends and areas for improvement and developing and implementing cost reduction strategies
Collaborate with other engineers and managers to develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
Preparing reports and presentations on production data and KPIs
Qualification:
Bachelor\'s degree in industrial engineering or related field
Advanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
Ability to design and implement efficient production processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software
Proficient in ERP Systems (preferably SAP)
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Lean tools, VSM) and Six Sigma methodology is a plus
Experience with labour and material cost capturing and analysing and cost control
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
Experience with data analysis and statistical process control is a plus
