Job Summary: The Indian Curry Chef is responsible for preparing authentic Indian dishes, focusing on various curries, spices, and traditional cooking techniques. Key Responsibilities:
• Curry Preparation:
• Prepare a variety of traditional Indian curries, using authentic recipes and techniques.
• Experiment with spices and ingredients to create unique dishes.
• Menu Development:
• Collaborate with management to design and update the menu.
• Ensure that dishes are seasonally inspired and reflect current culinary trends.
• Quality Control:
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification and taste-tested for quality.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and spices.
• Place orders for supplies and ensure proper storage of items.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Train and mentor junior chefs on Indian cooking techniques.
• Customer Engagement:
• Occasionally interact with customers to receive feedback and suggestions.
• Assist in special events or themed nights focused on Indian cuisine.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a chef, specifically in Indian cuisine.
