Ensure that students with exceptional abilities are accurately identified and that appropriate provisions for stretch and challenge are implemented. • Collaborate with mainstream teachers to modify lessons and activities to meet the needs of all students, including those with learning additional needs.
• Developing and Implementing IEPs:

• Create and manage Individualised Education Programs (IEPs) for students who qualify for special education services. This involves setting goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring accommodations and modifications are implemented.
• Providing Direct Instruction:

• Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted instruction in areas where they need extra help, such as reading, writing, maths, fine motor skills, emotional regulation, or social skills.
• Collaborating with Other Professionals:

• Work closely with school psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support the holistic development of students.
• Advocating for Students:

• Serve as an advocate for students with special needs, ensuring they receive the services and support they are entitled to.
• Assessing Student Progress:

• Regularly assess students' progress towards their IEP goals and adjust instructional strategies as needed. This may involve formal assessments as well as informal observations.
• Training and Supporting Mainstream Teachers:

• Provide training, support and resources to mainstream teachers on how to implement inclusive practices and accommodate diverse learners.
• Communicating with Parents:

• Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and any changes to their educational plan.
• Promoting an Inclusive Environment:

• Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel respected, supported, and capable of success.

• Engage and motivate students to achieve at levels that are beyond their expectations and previous limits
• Use excellent subject knowledge, pedagogic and interpersonal skills to enthuse students and enable students to experience amazing learning
• Make full use of ICT and the new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for students of all ages and attainment levels
• Plan lessons taking full account of students' individual learning needs, as well as their individual learning styles, preferences and capabilities

• Maintain excellent professional relationships with colleagues by making a wider professional contribution to the continuing improvement of the school

•Additional duties for the inclusion teacher include: To be a role model, coach and professional mentor to show excellent inclusive practises to meet the needs of all learners
• To work with children- groups or individuals- to implement interventions to accelerate achievement (at least 80%)
• To keep up to date with best practise relating to inclusive education
• To provide supply cover as and when needed (we hope this would be rarely)



•Health and Safety Emphasizes the importance of safety in all areas of the curriculum, communicating to the pupils the importance of a responsible attitude towards personal safety, the safety of others and respect for the school's property and equipment

• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct
• Ensure that, all the necessary health and safety rules and procedures are being followed
• Maintain an awareness of all the health and safety measures to be taken when in school



Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Education : Relevant UK teaching qualification: minimum of a Bed. or BA/BSc + PGCE/QTS

Experience: Min of2 years as an inclusion teacher in a British school either internationally or in the UK.

• Excellent IT skills, communication skills, and command of the English language, in spoken and written form
