DESCRIPTIONIf you are an experienced supply chain professional with a passion to innovate and contribute in a fast-paced, growing environment, you might be a good fit to join AMET (Africa, Middle East and Turkey) Supply Chain team.
The Inbound Placement Program Manager is responsible for optimizing inventory availability, ensuring that products are positioned at the right place and time to meet demand.
This role requires close collaboration with business and operations teams to meticulously plan the flow of inbound freight into Fulfillment Centers (FCs), facilitating smooth operations during both peak and off-peak periods.
The Inbound Placement Program Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the vendor and seller experience by coordinating efficient inbound processes, managing inventory placement strategies, and addressing any logistical challenges that may arise. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen ability to balance operational efficiency with high service standards.
This role involves driving critical decisions with cross-functional teams and senior leadership and demands strong program management skills along with the ability to drive data-driven discussions.
The candidate is expected to have exceptional analytical, planning, and written/verbal communication skills.Key job responsibilities
- Establish processes to ensure the correct placement of inventory at the right Fulfillment Centers (FCs) at the right time, optimizing stock availability, cost efficiency and distribution.
- Develop and refine processes to improve inbound supply chain planning, aiming to minimize costs and enhance customer/seller experience through effective inventory management.
- Serve as the main point of contact for sellers and vendors, ensuring a smooth and positive experience within the supply chain organization.
- Identify and utilize tools and automation to streamline existing processes, making them more scalable and efficient.
- Integrate best practices from other regions and companies to reduce supply chain losses and improve efficiency.
- Use strong problem-solving and communication skills to influence and align business, operations, and technical teams.
- Lead program management efforts, coordinating across teams and senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and efficient decision-making.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 5+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 5+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
