Main tasks
Closely work with Sales Team / Customer Service / Production team to understand the material requirements and follow-up with international suppliers to get it on time as committed to internal and external stakeholders.
Liase with Logistics department to have on time collection of import materials and update the ETA to all stakeholders.
Maintain proper records for ETA, ETD etc to have the visibility on orders placed.
Establishes international suppliers for company
Evaluates suppliers on delivery, quality, and cost performance, and finds alternative suppliers to establish cost savings as well as to minimize the risk of supplier failures to the company
Together with the Engineering department, evaluates suppliers on delivery, quality and cost performance and proposes replacement suppliers if necessary
Oversees material demands for international supplier either buy-out order/customized
Obtains recommendations from suppliers for possible alternative items with the approval of the quality
Verifies receipt orders versus the items ordered
Take responsibility for stock level of raw material, purchased items, semi-fabricated and finished goods
Ensures all imports complies with international trade laws, customs requirements, and local regulations
Any other job-related duties as required

Profile
Has strong communication and leadership skills
Team player and able to get on with people of different nationalities
Comfortable in working with different functions, e.g., Engineering, Operations, Sales
Comfortable with technical issues/requirements and working with Intercompany, sales, etc.
Min. 4 years' experience in Procurement/Purchasing
Knowledgeable in Procurement Management and SAP system/ ERP
Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers ideally in manufacturing related industry
Team player
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
Has a positive attitude
Has awareness of IMS (Integrated Management System)
