The ICT technician is responsible for overseeing the school's I?T, CCTV, multimedia network infrastructure, as well as installing, ordering, and maintaining both software and hardware. This role includes providing technical support and assistance with ICT equipment to teachers, school staff, and students. Key responsibilities encompass managing servers (subject to the availability) and the network, ensuring that all computers and software are operational, and training staff in their effective use. Additionally, the ICT technician will handle other technical equipment, including printers, CCTV cameras, smart boards, and telephones, mikes and sound system purchase (where is required) supervision and inventory.
Duties and responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Principal/ Vice Principal
1. Collaborate with the school's Management in regards of the school's needs. Provides accurate inventory summaries, plans, purchases ICT and other relevant technical equipment, follows on third party contractors in regards to the maintenance, inspections, equipment and software licenses and so on.
2. Assist in the execution of ICT-related initiatives aimed at modernizing and enhancing ICT capabilities.
3. Closely work with an ICT Teacher to ensure that ICT lab is always ready for the classes or tests as per the requirements.
4. Ensure optimal functionality of all computers, laptops, printers, interactive whiteboards, audio equipment, and other ICT hardware, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
5. Offer immediate technical support to all staff and students for any computer-related inquiries.
6. Provide guidance and assistance to educators and support personnel by teaching them on new IT / relevant equipment programs or features to enhance the school's performance.
7. Stay informed about future developments in ICT and provide recommendations for an improvement.
8. Oversee the network, ensures that all mobile devices are appropriately equipped for their intended use.
9. Manage all aspects of the network in collaboration with external ICT support services.
10. Administer Active Directory to ensure that all users have their respective usernames and passwords.
11. Deliver ICT/ other relevant training to all staff as needed.
12. Ensure that all computers are equipped with the school's software suite.
13. Maintain a comprehensive database of all software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements.
14. Keep an updated register of all ICT equipment. The inventory summary shall be maintained at all times and reports submitted to the Management as per their requests.
15. Oversee the warranty duration for all school devices and, when required, reach out to service centers for maintenance and repairs.
16. Additionally, maintain an adequate inventory of essential consumables such as cartridges and cables and so on and record, update the summary of such inventory at all times.
17. Maintain an accurate record of all internet and photo permission forms.
18. Plan for the refresh of ICT hardware to ensure that all computer equipment remains current and meets the institution's ICT requirements.
19. Serve as the administrator for all domain users and email accounts.
20. Oversee the management of the school's website.
21. Maintain organization within the ICT store.
22. Keep orders, agreements, repair slips warranties and so on in organized files ( soft and hard copies).
23. Demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of all individuals.
24. Assist with any additional responsibilities as may be reasonably required to adapt to the evolving needs and circumstances of the school.
25. Create and distribute ICT/ other relevant equipment policies, operation manuals and so on to the school's staff.
26. Be responsible for the maintenance and agreements with external / third party service providers in regards to the printers, CCTV cameras, phones, etc.
27. Any other appropriate duties as allocated by the Principal or Vice Principal.

Requirements
Essential
University degree in ICT or a related subject (Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized and accredited educational institution) and all certificates and qualifications must be duly notarized and attested) and a minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in the school's field.
Relevant experience ( preferable at the school) and ability to handle all the tasks aforementioned above for at least 4 years.
The ICT Technician should be able to:
