They will analyze user needs, recommend appropriate hardware and software solutions, ensure system security and reliability, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide technical supportoverseeing and managing the delivery of end-user technology services to schools. The ICT Engineer will be accountable for collaborating, co-ordinating and overseeing school ICT operations and enhancing the technology service delivery.Key Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and codes of conduct at all times.
Installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrade of servers, end user devices and peripherals and wired and wireless network infrastructures.
Setting up of all IT related equipment throughout the school (including offices, classrooms, and ICT labs) and providing prompt support to both administrative and educational staff members within the school.
Verifying the functionality of all newly acquired equipment prior to distribution.
Recieving, safe storing and installing ICT equipment such as new computers and peripheral.
Maintain inventory file of all new equipment, current inventory of hardware, software and passwords.
Ensure all new equipment is functional before it is distributed.
Set up equipment in offices, classrooms, and labs. Set up accounts and profiles for all users.
Periodic printer maintenance such as head cleaning and alignment. Re-fill printer toner and cartridges.
Responsible for booting systems and preloading software in preparation for classroom lessons.
SkillsPerson specifications:
BachelorsDegree in CS, Engineering or related Technical field.
Effective interpersonal skills suitable to a diverse multi-cultural environment.
Strong troubleshooting & problem solving skills.
At miminum 5+ years of experience in a related field, ideally in a premium, international school setting.
Experience providing IT Helpdesk support and related services to a large organization is beneficial.
