Job Overview InterContinental is seeking a diligent and experienced individual to join our team as a Hygiene Officer in Dubai. The Hygiene Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards throughout our hotel premises, promoting a safe and healthy environment for guests and staff. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement hygiene and sanitation policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and international standards. Conduct regular inspections of facilities, including kitchens, dining areas, and public spaces, to ensure cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols. Provide training to staff on proper hygiene practices and procedures. Monitor and maintain records of sanitation practices, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules. Investigate and address any hygiene-related complaints or issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with hygiene standards in all hotel operations. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hygiene and sanitation. Qualifications/Skills Strong knowledge of hygiene and sanitation regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Ability to work well independently and in a team environment. Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Food Science, or related field preferred. Certification in hygiene and sanitation is advantageous. Minimum of 2 years of experience in hygiene management in a hospitality setting. Working Environments Office-based work with regular site visits to various hotel facilities. Potential exposure to kitchen and dining areas. Collaboration with hotel staff and management.
