•Role Overview: The hygiene assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of students who require assistance with toileting due to physical or developmental challenges.

Position Title: Hygiene Assistant

Location: Small Steps branch, GEMS Founders School Al Mizhar, Dubai, UAE

•Responsibilities :

- Assist students in accessing the toilet facilities as per their individual intimate care plan.

- Ensure safeguarding processes are followed to ensure the child is treated with dignity and care.

- Provide support during toileting, including changing and cleaning as needed.

- Monitor hygiene supplies and replenish as necessary.

- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a safe and inclusive environment.

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the restroom area.

- Handle emergency situations related to toileting.

- Tidy and organize stock cupboards.

- Follow Small Steps policies and procedures regarding hygiene and student care.

- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.

- Attend relevant training sessions and workshops.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Experience working with children, especially those with special needs.

- Compassion, patience, and sensitivity.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Working Hours: As per school and Small Steps schedule.

Reporting: Reports to the designated supervisor.
