I am looking for Hydrogeologists to join Oil and Gas service company in Saudi Arabia on a permanent basis. Please see more details below. Job Purpose * Interpreting technical data and information to build a conceptual model of groundwater flow and quality in order to verify groundwater control system design. * Provide technical support and expertise to the estimation, sales and operational teams from design stage through to project execution * Use of modelling techniques to enable predictions to be made about future trends and impacts on groundwater flow and quality. Job Requirments 1 Degree in Science or Natural Resources, majoring in Hydrogeology, or Engineering majoring in Water Resources or equivalent from an internationally recognised University. Masters Degree in Hydrogeology would be advantageous. 2 Minimum 4+ years of related work experience in a similar industry and role. 3 Sound knowledge of the principles of hydrogeology, and experience in the application of hydrogeological techniques. 4 Experience in Technical Report writing. 5 Working knowledge of Modflow software or equivalent. 6 Proficiency in Microsoft applications. 7 Experience in project management with an emphasis on working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and managing, assessing and reviewing work of other staff, consultants and contractors. 8 Keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making. Key Responsibilities * Estimate quantity of groundwater extraction required in order to validate a dewatering system design, in line with project requirements, in order to recommend a cost effective groundwater control system solution. * Provide technical support and expertise to the estimation, sales and operational teams from design stage through to project execution. * Develop, perform, analyse and present numerical ground water control models based on * Project Soil Investigation Report * Contract drawings and specifications * Insitu permeability tests (pumping tests, slug tests) * Project timelines / construction schedules * Design, conduct and analyse groundwater hydraulic tests (Slug Test, Pumping Test) for the purpose of enhancing the companys engineered solution to groundwater control activities. * Make recommendation as to water quality and treatment procedures when required. * Applying a knowledge of fundamental geology to develop an understanding of how the rock types and structure in an area impact on groundwater occurrence and movement; * Understanding and interpreting maps, geographical data, historical evidence and models to build a conceptual model of groundwater flow and quality * Using computer software to model groundwater flow, according to geological formations, surface water flow and man:made influence; * Undertaking field work and site visits for investigative and monitoring purposes; * Undertaking environment impact assessments of groundwater abstraction and management activities; * Analysing collected information to assess and/or predict the impact of temporary groundwater control activities on groundwater quality and resource availability; * Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and keeping up to date with technological and legislative developments; * Generation of project specific reports, where required, to convey the required information to the appropriate target audience in a concise and professional manner. * Participate in meetings with clients regarding project progression and performance on site, as and when required * Maintain good working relationship with all parties at all levels at all times when representing the Company, Sub:Contractors, Staff and third parties If interested, kindly share your updated CV along with a contact number.
