Hvac Technician
Job Description
Job Summary: - The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems. - The technician will be responsible for advising customers on the most suitable air quality systems. - Regular maintenance, warranty services, and emergency repairs will be part of the job. - The technician will need to keep daily logs and records of all maintenance work. - Compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety Act is required. - The job involves providing technical direction and on-the-job training. - Responding to customers' queries and concerns is part of the role. - The position requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. - The candidate needs to have at least one year of experience as an HVAC technician. - A valid driver's license is required. - The role requires understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, and working knowledge of boiler systems. - Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols is required. - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are needed. - The ability to read schematics and work plans is necessary. - The role may require working after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice. - The job may involve working in confined spaces.
