The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role involves diagnosing system issues, performing repairs, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely. Responsibilities:
- Install new HVAC systems according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
- Diagnose malfunctions in heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
- Repair or replace defective parts, such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
- Test system performance and adjust controls to optimize efficiency and comfort.
- Inspect and repair ductwork, piping, and electrical connections as needed.
- Handle refrigerants safely and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client questions and concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and safety standards through training and education.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of HVAC apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
- Certification or licensure as an HVAC technician in accordance with local regulations.
- Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver\'s license and clean driving record is an advantage.
