Job Description

Position: HVAC design, Estimation Engineer cum Draftsman
Department: Sales and Estimation

Employee Rate: 54 hours a week (Monday-Saturday)
Travel Requirement: 100% for official works
Work Place: Dubai, UAE

Job Purpose:

The role involves utilizing HAP software to perform HVAC calculations according to project specifications. This includes conducting heating/cooling load calculations, creating air flow diagrams, and preparing Ducting & Instrumentation Diagrams (D&ID) to ensure efficient and accurate design and implementation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Principal Accountabilities:

Use HAP software for HVAC calculation.

Participate modelling, modification, and design of multiple projects with multiple customers.

Understand & design HVAC unit to meet clients' requirements in both large & small projects.

Communicate directly with customer to understand project requirements, goals, design specification and operational environment in order to evaluate.

Cost, feasibility and implementation of new HVAC equipment. Draft new plan to design duct work & piping system.

Calculate ventilation requirement based on types of system needed.

Determination of the HVAC calculation along with the unit selection in support of estimation tendering purpose.

Preparation of data sheets and other design documentation as required.

Fan & Pump Static Pressure Calculations.

Duct & Pipe Sizing, Ducting & Piping Layouts.

2/3 years of experience in U.A.E.
Thorough knowledge of DEWA/DM/DCD regulations.
Familiar with all the MEP methodologies as well as the corresponding equipment, materials, consumables, tools and manpower allocations related to Mechanical works for building projects.
Well versed in interpreting and executing MEP related drawings.
Performing HVAC load calculations.
Designing HVAC, plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
Making equipment selections.
Preparation of project specifications.
Experience in Chilled water system and Direct Expansion (DX) system - Split / Ducted split AC installation
Large buildings are with chilled water system ( shopping malls, Office, Building, etc,.)
Experience in Ducting, piping (refrigerant tubing, chilled water pipes) , equipment installation
Experience in Tendering, Estimation, BOQ , Design, installation, commissioning etc

Man power / man hour estimation knowledge for new installations, maintenance, retrofit works, piece work etc,

Design of cooling load calculation, ducting, piping (Ref & chilled water lines), equipment selection, drawings, documentation etc,
Product knowledge with various vendors
Material sourcing
Previous project executed value/ Type of Bdg / Type of works etc.
Workmanship / Site knowledge.

Additional Responsibilities:

Use personal protection and safety equipment as per requirements.

Aware and comply with all regulations instructed by HSE Officers.

To contribute in implementing the company HSE policy and objectives.

Key Competencies:

Software Knowledge: HAP, Solid works, AutoCAD

Knowledge in design software

Pre-Requisites:

Graduate or Diploma in Engineering

Must have experience in handling HVAC projects

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

Experience:

HVAC CONTRACTING COMPANY: 3 years (Preferred)
