Job Summary:
Human Resources Coordinators play a crucial role in supporting the HR department and ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly. It's a position that requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of HR processes and best practices.
Responsibilities:
• Recruitment and Onboarding:
• Assisting in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial interviews.
• Coordinating the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation sessions, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
• Employee Relations:
• Serving as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Handling employee inquiries and issues, and escalating them to the appropriate HR personnel or management as needed.
• HR Administration:
• Maintaining and updating employee records and databases.
• Processing paperwork related to changes in employment status, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Assisting in the administration of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement plans.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Assisting with HR reporting and metrics, such as turnover rates, attendance records, and diversity metrics.
• Special Projects and Initiatives:
• Supporting HR initiatives and projects, such as employee engagement surveys, performance management processes, and training programs.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (sometimes an Associate's degree or equivalent experience may suffice).
• Previous experience in HR or administrative roles is often preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
