Purpose: Provide specialist functional knowledge to support operation and site-based activities. Work in the operation focusing specifically on driving behavioral and attitudinal changes and uplifting HSSE operational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance/Operatinal Promote the delivery of continuous improvement and constant drive towards incident-free operations. Assist, support, and monitor the implementation of the HSSE strategy. Influence colleagues and key stakeholders within the business to become effective HSSE Leaders. Lead by example, assure conformance with business unit HSSE policies & procedures, and enforce safe working practices across the site. Take corrective action when defects are identified, calling for area/activity ownership. Develop HSSE improvement plans and report on performance improvement. Support and develop others at all levels in the business unit to perform their work in a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible way. Engage and motivate frontline teams, our experts. Coordinate and manage the response to incidents and emergencies. Work cross-functionally to support HSSE and Risk Reduction Programs. Lead and facilitate Incident Investigations and promote a strong learning framework.
Contractors Management Assure contractor/vendor conformance with business unit HSSE requirements and compliance with applicable legislation. Assure that all contractor activities within the premises as well as daily operations are done in compliance with HSSE regulations and in conformance with APMT HSSE standards. Assist and support contractors/vendors in the preparation of risk assessments and safe working procedures. Liaise with staff, contractors, vendors, and other divisions within the company to ensure that compliance is achieved.
Training & Coaching Support the development and delivery of HSSE on-the-job training. Promote the HSSE culture through proactive monitoring and assessment of the HSSE competence plan. Drive the HSSE culture by recognizing core HSSE values across the business. Maintain and improve your own Health, Safety, and Environment competencies.
Qualifications and Skills: Master's degree in Health and Safety or similar qualification. 3+ years' experience in HSSE and Risk with a proven track record in the delivery of business objectives An HSSE qualification such as NEBOSH general certificate Strong influencing skills A demonstration of continued professional development within health and safety English level of minimum 11 - EF Lean strong capabilities and mindset is a must.
