Be the HSE supervisor to inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes, issuance of permit in working areas to ensure compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards, with the goal to protect employees, customers and the environment. Responsibilities Monitor minor and major modification to ensure risk assessments have been undertaken to the required standard Provide guidance, advice, understanding and compliance with requirements in Environmental, Waste Management and Health and Hygiene standards and objectives Administration of the company's EHS Reporting Systems and participate in improvement of company's EHS standard and performance Ensure operational compliance to local, national and international code, standards and legislation in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) To develop and maintain relevant procedures, routines and working methods within operational EHS To provide technical expertise in reviewing incident reports To provide support for units and offices in EHS related matters To provide EHS awareness training to the project team as per clients / regulatory permits requirement ' To plan and carry out EHS verifications, inspections and audits in accordance with the local legislation To perform or assist in Formal Safety Assessments To perform Issuance of permit To lead or participate in formal investigations To perform on participate in HAZIDs, HAZOPs or any risk analyses To participate in safety studies, ie layout reviews F&G detectors and land planning Liaise with consultants, authorities and clients on EHS matters, when required Recommend changes to protect workers, and educate employees on how to prevent health problems through the use of safety training programs Investigate accident to identify their causes and find ways to prevent them in the future Recommend and implement corporate safety training policy as applicable to the needs and requirements of the company Develop recommendations on how to improve the conditions of an environment to reduce or avoid hazards Keep records and writing safety case reports Plan, assist and participate in safety audits of contractors employed by the company and submit written reports Create and maintain program management systems to ensure that various Environmental, Health and Safety certifications, accreditations, and compliance efforts are developed and continuous improved Provide technical expertise, strategic leadership, and support to project team on regulatory compliance issues in Environmental, Health and Safety Requirements Degree in EHS Knowledge in implementation of ISO14001, ISO45001, and OHSAS 18001 management systems Min. 15 years' experience in Environmental, Health and Safety in oil & gas, deep excavation, cavern and minimum 8 years in SALT CAVERN projects Strategic management skills Good communication and reporting skills Knowledge and understanding of all legislative requirements relating to occupational health, safety and environment Health and Safety issues and Codes of practice relevant to the industry including COSHH and COMAH regulations Knowledge and understanding of the impact of failure of key systems and processes including loss of containment and threat to the environment Proficient in math and science skills, the ability to compile and analyze technical data and the communication skills necessary to report findings Demonstrated proficiency with office automation / communication software and tools used in the office environment.
